| For high
temperature liquid heat transfer - from ambient to 1000 oF - American
Hydrotherm offers the only nonflammable, noncorrosive thermal liquid system available that
operates at essentially atmospheric pressure - for both endothermic and exothermic
reactions. Control Systems are designed for maximum safety - they satisfy all current IRI,
FM, NFPA, UL, OHSA requirements (and any special requirements specified by purchaser) |

| This exclusive
process lowers the freezing point of an anhydrous salt mixture (freezing point 288 oF
to 460 oF) to any desired level down to ambient by dilution with measured
quantities. Since circulation is established even before the heat is activated, heat-up to
process temperature throughout the entire system remains uniform, eliminating any
possibility of thermal shock (broken welds, ruptured tube, leaky tube sheets etc..) or
freeze ups. |
|
|
| Condensate
vaporized from the salt solution during heat-up may be re-condensed in a holding tank for
use in diluting the salt during cool down. Ability to control the freezing point of the
salt eliminates the need for any jacketed lines. |

| Typical
applications include Catalytic Converters and Sulfur Distillation, Organic Oxidation e.g.
Phthalic and Maleic Anhydride, Ammonoxidation Reactors, for Acrylonitrile, Alkyl Amine
Converters, Organic Chrorinations and Caustic Soda Evaporation, Production of Melamine,
Pyridine Base, Methyl Ethyl Ketone and Resorcinol, Nuclear Energy Applications, Waste Heat
Recovery, Off-shore Production Platforms. |
